Rytis Kamičaitis

Born 22 July 1962 in Vilnius. Studied music since 1968 (singing, violin, music theory). Gave his first big-stage performance in 1969 (with National Philharmonic Orchestra). First performances abroad in 1970. 1980 - 1985 studies at the Conservatory (speciality: choir conductor). 1981 - 1986 teacher of music theory and choirmaster in a music school. 1977 - 1987 studies in free jazz (performed at jazz nights, worked as a piano player in a nightclub, gave solo concerts, participated in jazz festivals "Student Jazz" held in Tallinn, Estonia in 1982, 1983). Starting 1993 employed at the professional choirs "Jauna muzika" and "Brevis". Starting 1983 studies of Indian classical music and the tabla, also performing with various line-ups of jazz and rock groups and even with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra.
